Lake LBJ, named for President Lyndon B. Johnson, is part of the Highland Lakes Chain in Central Texas. It is a reservoir on the Colorado River formed in 1950. Horseshoe Bay on Lake LBJ
Lake LBJ is a controlled level lake just over 21 miles long located in Llano and Burnet Counties in Central Texas. Part of the Highland Lakes chain, Lake LBJ has a maximum width of 10,800 feet. There are several communities along Lake LBJ including Kingsland, Highland Haven, Granite Shoals, Sunrise Beach, Deer Haven, Blue Lake and Horseshoe Bay.
